RYSE serves as a consistent sanctuary of safety, compassion, and justice for youth. We are a space for young people to get what they need and want for their well-being and social-emotional health. RYSE reaches over 700 youth (ages 13-21) in West Contra Costa County (WCC) yearly. RYSE works for young people to have emotional, physical, and political safety to acquire the tools, skills and resources they need to change conditions. Our media and arts programming prioritizes safety, personal and collective agency, healing and learning; is responsive to the changing priorities of youth; and honors self-expression to lead and heal ourselves and our communities.
