Living Goods aims to build a sustainable distribution platform for products designed to fight poverty and disease in the developing world. It operates networks of independent entrepreneurs who make a living by selling medicines and products to poor people that can help improve their health, wealth, and productivity. Living Goods currently works primarily in Uganda, Kenya, and Myanmar, and is in the process of expanding into other countries. The donation is intended to support the expansion of Living Goods programs in Uganda and Kenya, the co-funding of partners starting similar programs in neighboring countries, and related overhead expenses.
