The Stanford University Spring 2015 Class’s evaluation found their $5,000 grant to Springboard to be a success because it positively impacted many students’ reading abilities and helped close the gap to grade-level performance by more than half. In Spring 2016, the class awarded another grant of $15,000 to continue this prosperity. Springboard’s mission is to help close the literacy gap by providing coaching programs and teaching good reading habits. This grant helped expand the organization’s reach to new students and enhance their literacy trajectories.
