The majority (62%) of the Texas A&M Fall 2017 Class found their $20,000 grant to Mission Reclaimed to be a good decision with a bad outcome. Another 23% voted that the grant was a mistake. Students votes were largely attributed due to the fact that the original organization dissolved, so the funds were transferred to the Brazos Valley Food Bank. Only 15% of students stated that the grant was a good decision with a good outcome because the money was still used as intended. Mission Reclaimed’s mission is to feed people in its community of Anderson, Texas in a creative and interesting way through the Anderson Food Pantry. The funds have secured food provision for the next three years and have made a significant impact on the Anderson area already.
