The Texas Christian University Fall 2016 Class’s evaluation found their $15,000 grant to Girls Inc. of Tarrant County to be a good decision with a good outcome at an 89% vote. The success was attributed to the program’s sustainability and high retention rate. 11% of students listed the grant as a good decision with a bad outcome because the information provided by the organization was somewhat limited, and a full explanation of how the donation was spent would have improved this. Girls Inc. of Tarrant County’s mission is to empower girls to be successful through mentorship and a variety of programs. The grant went toward the Eureka STEM project for lower-income female students.
