Compassion Ministries

The Baylor Spring 2017 Class’s evaluation found their $4,000 grant to Compassion Ministries to be a good decision with a good outcome at an 89% vote. However, 11% of students thought the grant was a mistake due to its limited impact. Compassion Ministries’ goal is to help homeless families and families on the verge of homelessness to stabilize housing and employment. They offer several services to these families, like counseling, GED preparation, job training, and more. The grant went towards their general operating fund and to help them leverage additional funding.
