The majority of the Stanford University Spring 2016 Class found their $20,000 grant to Community Grows to be a good decision with a good outcome, with a few students also designating the grant as a good decision with a bad outcome or a mistake. Community Grows is a youth enrichment program that involve growing gardens in low-income, diverse communities. The grant went towards the organizations general operating budget. Evaluators pointed to administrative challenges and changing up project goals as one negative aspect of this grant. Two evaluators felt the money would have been better given elsewhere to an organization that had a more specific program need.
